Every year, thousands of California residents are injured in car, truck and motorcycle accidents. What's worse is that some of these accidents are fatal.
A woman died Tuesday after her SUV was involved in a collision with a Border Patrol vehicle in Chula Vista.
Although the car accident remains under investigation, it seems that the woman ran a red light around 9:15 p.m.
The woman had to be extricated from the wreckage of her vehicle. She was rushed to a hospital, but there was nothing there doctors could do to save her. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
The occupant of the Border Patrol vehicle was hospitalized for minor injuries.
Hopefully, more will be learned about this accident once investigators complete their inquest. We are sure that right now, the woman's family members are wondering what happened and are struggling to understand why their loved one was taken from them.
As personal injury attorneys who often work with people who have been hurt in car accidents, or have lost loved ones in such accidents, we think it is important for people to be given the chance to fully understand what happened in a car accident. With our clients, we work as hard as we can to obtain a sense of justice and closure. Every case is different, of course, but each one is the same when it comes to the priorities we express.
If you are interested in learning whether you have any legal options, you may want to speak with an attorney.
