It has been a rough week for pedestrians in Cathedral City. In rather strange fashion, two pedestrians have been struck by two separate vehicles twice in one week. The first, Teodoro Torres, was struck on Wednesday, October 22 at around 9:00 pm. The second, a still unidentified female, was struck on October 28, around 7:00 pm.
A crash that occurred at 2:20 a.m. Friday morning has taken the life of 1 person, while 2 others are in critical condition. One other has moderate injuries and two have minor injuries. The crash happened on the I-10 just west of Highway 62 near Palm Springs. More information will likely be released after the families involved are notified. This is the second deadly crash on the I-10 in just this week alone.
A driver suffered major injuries this past Friday night when he crashed a pickup truck into the rear end of a dump truck on Ramon Road in Cathedral City, police said.
